Who we are
Deadlock Garage Doors is a garage door repair and servicing business on the Sunshine Coast. It's owned and run by Thom and based in Maroochydore, Queensland. ABN 17 937 699 636.

What the booking form collects
The form asks for your name, phone number, email address and suburb, and the service you need. You can also add a job description and a preferred contact time if you want to. That's all it collects. It never asks for payment details.
The form also has a hidden field that catches spam bots. People never see it or fill it in.

How your details reach Thom
When you press send, your details go by email to deadlockgaragedoors@gmail.com, the business inbox Thom reads. The email is sent through Resend, an email delivery service, and the inbox is a Gmail account run by Google. Both companies are based overseas, so your details may be stored or handled outside Australia, including in the United States.
If the form can't send, it opens the email app on your own device with your details filled in. Nothing is sent until you press send in that app.

What we use your details for
We use them to reply to you, book the callout and do the job you asked about. If you call or email instead, Thom sees your phone number or email address and whatever you tell him about the job, and uses it the same way.
The site has no mailing list or newsletter. Your name, phone number, email address and job description are never passed to Google Analytics or to any advertiser.

Cookies and Google Analytics
The site uses Google Tag Manager to run Google Analytics. Google Analytics uses cookies to count visits and show which pages get used. It also sees general details like your device, your browser and your rough location.
It records a few actions too: tapping the phone number or email address, pressing a booking button, and sending the form. For those, it records the page you were on and, for the form, the service you picked. It never gets your name, phone number, email address or job description.
Some pages show a Google map, and Google may set its own cookies when a map loads. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings, and Google offers a browser add-on that turns Google Analytics off.

Error reports
The site is set up to use Sentry, a service that reports technical errors and how quickly pages load, so faults can be found and fixed. When it's switched on, a report can include your browser, your device, the page you were on and what went wrong. It isn't used for advertising.
07 / 11
Hosting
The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel's servers log basic details of each visit, such as your IP address, your browser and the page you asked for. Those logs are used to deliver the site and keep it secure.

How long we keep your details
Enquiry emails stay in the business inbox while they're useful for your job and any follow-up. Google Analytics deletes its visit-level data after the retention period set in the account.

See, fix or remove your details
Email deadlockgaragedoors@gmail.com to ask what details we hold about you, to correct them, or to have them removed. Thom will get back to you from the same address.

Questions or complaints
If you're unhappy with how your details were handled, email us first so Thom can put it right. The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner explains your privacy rights in plain terms.
